Bob leads strategic consulting efforts to strengthen performance and resource utilization within international corporations and other complex organizations. Bob has worked in private industry, utilities, and government. Representative clients include TELSTRA, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Fannie Mae, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Los Angeles World Airports, Los Angeles County, and a “Big Four” accounting firm. Representative projects include:

• Review of HR policies and operations to improve hiring efficiency, increase success rates for scarce skill sets, and improve relationships with internal clients

• Comprehensive empirical review of operational activities to improve organizational structure, operational efficiency and effective use of resources

• A private client assignment with a major international oil and gas development company

• Full management audit, including policy framework, empirical activity analysis, performance measurement and organizational review at a major international airport

• Development of strengthened management structure and leadership practices, including improved selection processes, for expanded security functions required after 911 at a major international airport.

• Assessment of leadership styles and coaching of key executives for high-performance mortgage banking company.

Bob’s approach is practical and direct. He draws upon 27 years of management experience, as well as rigorous formal training. As a certified executive coach, he is skilled in undertaking sensitive conversations in which emotions can run high. Before founding his own consulting firm, his career included responsible positions with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, the Saudi Public Transport Company, MTA Bridges & Tunnels in New York, and in the private sector. Along with other members of Schilling & Maure, Bob is frequently a part of joint venture teams with KH Consulting Group.

As a manager, Bob has extensive experience in establishing and improving industrial, operational, and administrative processes. He turned around several troubled industrial operations, and was a key member of a team that led a mid-sized training company to record profitability.

Bob holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelors in History and Political Science from Whittier College. Bob is a Certified Executive Coach (New Ventures West), a member of the International Coach Federation and a member of the Institute of Management Consultants.
